  • The Wait

    January 4th, 2023

Sometimes, not only good things, but all things require us to be patient. Then, it helps to be with a child, or someone who looks up to you.

The way you approach the conversation is more mature, because not only are you focused on solving the problem, but also on educating the person you’re with.

If we remember that, even when we approach an uncomfortable situation alone, maybe we can be a little more compassionate.

  • The End

    December 31st, 2022

It is the final day of the year, yet if it’s not the final day of your life, it ought to have a different meaning. The passing of the year is symbolic, and need not signal the end of anything, unless it was the end of a school term.

For your projects, each needs to end when it needs to, not when the calendar year ends. I wish you a joyous 2023, and strength to continue on your journey. This is not the end.

  • Ants

    December 29th, 2022

Every day, they go out foraging. Focused on the goal, they cross dangerous paths, moving in unison.

How many perish as we drive over the roads they cross? Yet they don’t stop. They remain a model for a life well lived.

  • Good morning

    December 26th, 2022

It is when you are at a farm that you truly appreciate the morning. As the cocks crow to signal a new day, and darkness makes way for a new day, you rise with renewed hope.

Life is never guaranteed to us, and what we plan may not materialize. However, with daybreak, while we cannot foresee the future, we can literally see better than we could at night. We can set ourselves up to make the changes we want.

    Good morning!

  • Loss

    December 23rd, 2022

We grief at the loss of what we once thought we owned. A loved one, silent to talk no more, is probably one of the worst moments of pain we have to go through at one or other stage.

In these moments, it is hard to remain positive. But when we can, it helps remembering that someone is never truly gone. That imprint they made on your heart will live on. And you too, will live on through the pain.
