  • Evolution

    April 17th, 2022

In some ways, the pandemic gave us a chance to relook what we believed to be musts. From big events like the Olympics to family events, and how we worked, it had a significant impact in almost all parts of the world.

As we opened up over the last couple of months, the office has made its return, sporting events are back, conferences and meetings are back, and it seems that, we are back to where we started. It appears as if we were just hiding until the storm blew over, and we could not wait to restart what we parked during the pandemic.

We might look and say that nothing has changed, and that we are back on square one. That the pandemic has not taught us lasting lessons. But it probably led to a small shift, to help us choose what is essential, and cancel the bad forever. And that may be enough of a step to tomorrow.

  • Project manager

    April 16th, 2022

The role may have different names, but it is apparent that, almost all projects need a person to do the hard work of integrating the different part of the project.

For you can do the project in various ways, and there is no guarantee that a project manager will achieve project success. However, the project manager improves the odds thereof greatly.

  • Slow down

    April 12th, 2022

But do not move slow. before moving forward, or implementing change, it is worth taking a moment to consider the perspective of others. How you interpret what others say or do, is also dependent on where you are and your motivations. Thus, if we take a minute to slow down, to appreciate the diverse perspectives from others, we could get a different view of the problem we are trying to solve.

While there is only a limited window of opportunity, our chances of making a positive impact are enhanced when the additional perspectives allow us to address problems early, or identify a solution which is more responsive. Then, having applied our combined minds, we proceed to implement. For it is only through implementation that change happens.

  • Slow and steady

    April 10th, 2022

Sometimes, the advise is to go for it, to leave it all on the line. In many cases, it is the right advice. If an opportunity comes along, and you grab it with both hands, it could be the one key thing that differentiates you, and makes all the hard work pay off.

What’s often forgotten is that, to strike when the iron is hot, you have to be prepared. And that comes from working on your craft consistently, plodding along on good days and bad days.

  • Just like breathing

    April 9th, 2022

You cannot outsource some tasks, just like breathing. There are some things you have to do yourself. Then, the question is not even whether you can or not, it is a matter of commitment.
