  • What loyalty means

    June 15th, 2023

    What are you passionate about?

Maybe it’s not passion, but I’ve been asking myself what loyalty means. Why is it so important that it makes us hang on, even if the arrangement is not serving it’s original purpose? From our favourite clothing, coffee mug, house, to relationships, we’re sticky for what we think we own.

Maybe, inevitably, we develop some level of passion for what we are committed to. That way, we try to fix and improve, postponing the inevitable separation.

So, as I asked myself this question, I could only conclude that maybe, I am passionate about writing this piece right now.

  • Health

    June 11th, 2023

What are the most important things needed to live a good life?

As the saying goes, a healthy person wants many things, but a sick person only wants one thing.

When we are healthy, or as healthy as we can be, we can take on the world.

  • The Line

    June 8th, 2023

Sometimes, when you’re busy toiling away, it’s hard to see the finish line. When the journey is long and new, it might also not be easy to know whether there is progress or not.

At times like these, I can’t help but think about the sailors who dared to go offshore, a little further each time. Had they stopped at what they knew, would we have this world of today? Probably not.

So when the end is not in sight, it should be our cue to keep moving.

  • The Mindful Walk

    June 7th, 2023

We all have paths that we travel in life. Some paths are well-worn and familiar, while others are new and uncharted. But no matter what path we’re on, there is always something to learn.

Even when we think we’ve been on a path before, there are always new lessons to be learned. This is because every situation is different, even if it is similar to something we’ve experienced before. The people involved, the circumstances, and our own perspective may all be different, which can lead to new insights and learnings.

This is why it’s important to remain curious, open, and receptive to what is in front of us. When we’re curious, we’re more likely to pay attention to the details and to notice things that we might otherwise miss. We’re also more likely to ask questions and to seek out new information.

When we’re open, we’re more likely to be willing to see things from different perspectives. We’re also more likely to be willing to change our minds if we’re presented with new information. And when we’re receptive, we’re more likely to be able to absorb new information and to integrate it into our own understanding of the world.

  • What are you willing to Pay?

    June 4th, 2023

When Jesus was approached by someone who wanted to follow him, he told the man that he needs to commit to the journey, and that without commitment, he cannot be on the journey with him.

Commitment comes at a price, and it is at this point that the man, like us, had to ask himself whether he wanted to pay that price.

As we are reviewing the week or whichever period that was, it is also useful to assess whether we are fully committed to the journey were on. If we are, what’s stopping us?
