Circumstances change, and so do our priorities. But when it comes down to it, I can only think of two key questions: what problem is important to you, and what work are you doing to get you closer to solving it?

It is said that, in order to be great one day, you will be awful at the beginning. If you are patient enough at the start, and come back for more, the reps build up.
Every brick counts. As you lay yours now, take time to appreciate the win, for it might be tough to stay motivated for a distant goal of finishing what you are building.

The same distance seems longer on the way in, when you don’t know how far you have to travel, than when you return.
Behind every turn, you envision the destination, only to be disappointed time and again. It also seems like it takes forever to get there.
Yet, when we turn around, we realize we were not that far.

The persons we meet and the key issues at that time can affect what we ultimately become. Amidst all, we should look to retain our humanity.
We need to act with love. Not act to harm, nor to please. Doing the right thing, even when it’s difficult and not popular. We need to avoid conceding to the environmental forces.
For the Sun will rise again tomorrow, and if we meet again, we wanted to have parted well. And when we meet again, you may realize we need each other, and our humanity prevails.

It’s amazing how many times I plan to do one thing, but am delayed or sidetracked. Then, in the heat of the moment, I will ask myself why I didn’t think of the distractions.
I’m learning that, increasingly, the way is not straight, but that the curves are inbuilt in the journey.
It helps to build in a bit of fat.
