One must move fast, but not in haste. When imposing pressure on ourselves, we can become reckless, and make avoidable mistakes. But when we take a moment to assess the situation, the insight can help us to move faster with greater impact.
Progress isn’t automatic. It requires us to repeat what worked. Hourly, daily, weekly, we’re required to stand up and do it again.
On a rainy day, as on a sunny day, us against the elements. Would you have it any other way?
Even though we sometimes like to think that each of us can survive on our own, it is sobering to realize how much others bring meaning to our lives, both directly or indirectly.
We come into this world, not on our own, but through those who chose to have us here under different circumstances. We are powerless to fend for ourselves for many years as we mature under care. Even when grown, we rely on others playing their parts, directly or indirectly, without question, for us to function effectively.
The saying rings true that no person is an island. And if that, even an island is given meaning only by the environment in which it is.
Some walk because they have to, others walk because they want to. Both walk, but the motivation is different.
We often forget the privileges we enjoy, thinking the world is as we are. Of course, each experience is subjective, and each one of us will have different experiences, starting points, things that we can do or not do by default etc.
When we take a moment to stop and observe, however, it will make us aware of the richness of live. The pain and the joy hidden in plain sight, and of the many things we take for granted.
We are lucky to be alive in this moment, for life is not guaranteed for anyone. And what a beautiful life it is.
