The journey might lead nowhere, or it might lead to somewhere good. But to find out, one must leave the shore and be happy to explore the fringes. For that is where we grow.

For others, you might be a different person depending on the context. For you, however, you’re all you are, all the time.
The good that some experience of you, the bad that others experience of you, you are the author of each in your life. Of course, the outcome might be different from your intention.
Ultimately, you’re all you have. The only person you have to contend with all of the time. All the beauty of the peaks and valleys.
Make it a good journey with yourself, everyday.

The start, therefore, is more important. It involves slowing down at the onset and asking those questions that will clarify where we’re headed. Then, we can think about the route we will take. While we can be stubborn about the goal, we need to be flexible about how we get there.
And as we march toward our goal, it helps to be present in the journey. To learn and adapt, and to enjoy the niceties that the journey offers us.
