Stolen thoughts on what to do and how:
Do few things, do the right things, do them well.
Sounds easy, but requires being clear on what is important despite all other seemingly important things going on around us.

The same distance seems longer on the way in, when you don’t know how far you have to travel, than when you return.
Behind every turn, you envision the destination, only to be disappointed time and again. It also seems like it takes forever to get there.
Yet, when we turn around, we realize we were not that far.
Years back, I was taught the tale of the ant and the grasshopper. While the ant was working hard during the summer gathering food for the upcoming winter months, the grasshopper was hopping around leisurely, not concerning himself with the next day.
Of course, as tales would have it, winter did come, and the grasshopper was found out, while the ant dined away.
Just like with the grasshopper’s lenses, sometimes the winter isn’t visible when we look at all the good happening during our summers. But, as the ant teaches us, it is precisely when it looks so green here that we should set something aside for the yellow days, even if it’s not so clearcut that winter is on the horizon.
Then, one day, when the low tide comes, we will emerge from the water fully clothed.
We’re seldom on a completely new path. Others have walked down the same road, and learnt the lessons we’re about to.
When we feel stuck, we can reach out to them. Of course, there will be differences in context, slight deviations etc., but there will also be elements we can use from their lessons.
We’re not stuck, we’re re-exploring tracks blown away by the wind.
Occasionally, we feel we’re in unfamiliar territory. We doubt whether we’re the right person to solve this problem. We feel like impostors a lot of the time.
The doubts are good, for it tells you that you need to prepare, and not take the challenge for granted. If you prepare, you’re ready.
In that time of greatest need, we learn that all our deliberate and subtle preparation was necessary for this moment. We learn that these moments are what makes us grow, fall, and stand up if we want.
We’re ready, and we’re human. Fall, stand up and keep pushing.
