  • Gone with the wind

    June 18th, 2022

Here I am, sitting at the end of the day, wondering where the ideas went. Beautiful thoughts, solutions to pending issues, presentation pointers, all flowing through the mind while running.

Therein lies the question. How best should one capture those thoughts that come so fleetingly to the mind, and are gone before you can sit down with it?

Although not perfect, I found that dedicating a few minutes after the run to just reflect and capture what flows through the mind helps. The phone is perfect, as I can just ramble off without overthinking the tools, although a notebook works just as fine.

  • The End

    June 16th, 2022

All that starts eventually ends. We might not like how it turns out, but we are guaranteed that this too shall pass.

It’s worth remembering equally during the dark days, as it is during our better days.

If we give our best, we might be proud one day for how it turned out. And we’ll leave, having learned the lesson from giving our all.

  • Learning from change

    June 15th, 2022

You start out your new project with high ambitions. You have the vision of the impact that this project will have. You map out how you will get the work done, whether alone or with a team, and hit start.

As with any project of significance, there will be challenges. You will need to rethink how some things are done, incorporate the changes, and, in some cases, have to terminate the project prematurely.

Whether terminating the project, or making changes to it, there are lessons to be learnt. And, taking the time to reflect on the lessons may be one of the best things you can do for yourself, and for the people you serve with your project.

  • Keep going

    June 12th, 2022

There are times in the journey when it gets tough. You try, but you can see no progress. It might even be that you’re going backwards.

During those times, on the verge of giving up, try one more time. And then another time. One step at a time.

The hard things require resilience, and what better time than now to keep going?

  • Crystal

Clarity of the message is probably the most important element. Before I do anything else, I should make sure that what I say or write makes sense.

What makes sense may differ based on the audience, and that is why understanding who the audience is and where they are in their journey is critical. Even if that audience is me, I need to consider who I will be when I get the message.

    Was this clear?
